Home Travel Center Exclusive Trips & Dates

Bob Marriott’s Travel Center reserves exclusive dates each year at the most prestigious destinations worldwide. These reservations allow Bob Marriott’s clients to fish the best destinations at their peak times.  Many of these exclusive trips are hosted by one of the Pro-Staff members from Bob Marriott’s Flyfishing Store, or by Bob Marriott himself.  While you are encouraged to bring your fishing partner and friends, these trips are also a great opportunity for a single angler to join a group trip and take advantage of the double occupancy arrangements of the fishing lodge guide services.

Join Bob Marriott on this trip as you will focus on the best of the late season dry fly action, fishing the famous BWO (Blue Wing Olive) hatch, the always important Trico hatch, as well as the opportunity to imitate the largest 'hoppers of the season. This is also the time the get your “streamer fix”. The Brown Trout migration will be in full swing as they prepare to spawn and their colors are at their most vibrant. The cooling water temperatures will have the Browns on the move and the Rainbows stocking up the needed fat reserves for the pending winter season.

Comfortable elegance is only a little over an hour outside of Bozeman. This area has so many Blue Ribbon fisheries, it would take you weeks of fishing every day to begin to see all the water options. You will witness the abundant wildlife and waterfowl, the whitetail and mule deer are everywhere, and the ducks, geese and sandhill cranes fill the skies in every direction each morning and evening.

Here you will find secluded wading and floating for Rainbow and Brown Trout. Fishing options include the Big Hole, the Upper, the Lower, and the Middle Beaverhead, several sections of the Madison and the Jefferson Rivers. Additional options include the Yellowstone and the Gallatin Rivers. For a more intimate fishing day, you may choose to fish the Ruby River as well as the opportunity to fish a variety of private waters and spring creeks.

By the end of September, the local farmers and ranchers will be through with the major irrigation needs and thus will be pulling less water from the rivers making floating easier and even more enjoyable. The Upper Beaverhead will continue to excel, giving up the largest average-sized Rainbows in the state.

The Trinity River is consistently one of the best rivers along the west coast to hook anadromous steelhead. The river experiences healthy runs of wild steelhead along with thousands of returning hatchery reared steelhead. These fish average between 4-10 pounds.

Although primarily fished from a drift boat, we can get out of the boat and wade fish when we have reached a desirable run. Depending on the situation, you may focus on several techniques of steelheading with a fly rod - from nymphing with or without indicators to traditional swinging techniques with single or double handed Spey or switch rods. It is not uncommon to have upwards of ten hook ups a day on these rivers.

We base our trips so as to maximize your fishing time. Upon arrival at the airport in Redding, we will overnight there in town in private rooms. In the morning, the guides will meet us during breakfast, talk over our fishing days and drive us over the hill to the Trinity where we will gear up and begin fishing. That night, we will check for two nights into the private cabin rooms in Weaverville CA, minutes away from the banks of the Trinity River. Weaverville is about an hour west of Redding CA on Hwy 299. The town has several excellent restaurants that you can choose to dine at each night. We will fish for three days, returning late to Redding after the last day of fishing in order to be ready to catch the early morning flight back home.

Estancia del Zorro & Cinco Rios Chile

We have been authorized to offer to our clients a spectacular program we call "From the Chilean Pampas to the Rainforest".  This itinerary includes all of the best fishing that Chile has to offer; from the meandering private Spring Creeks at the Estancia del Zorro to the gin clear rivers of the glacial valleys near the town of Coyhaique, including the picture.  You will stay 3 nights at Estancia del Zorro and 4 nights at Cinco Ríos – all for one great price!

The week is scheduled to run from Saturday to Saturday.  Sunday is the first day of fishing, and you will start the morning with breakfast, which varies from day to day.  Later, one of the very experience, English-speaking guides will take you by comfortable 4-wheel drive truck to the day’s special fishing destination.  Each day you will enjoy exquisite lunches served on a beautifully arranged table, with good wines, possibly soup or a salad, a main course and dessert all served on the bank of the river.

You will fish for 3 complete days out of each lodge, thereby experiencing the absolute best that each has to offer.  Mid-week, after the day’s fishing you and your gear will be transported the short distance from your fishing location to the second lodge, Cinco Rios Chile, sitting high on the banks overlooking the Simpson River.  Upon your arrival, you will be served cocktails and appetizers followed shortly thereafter by dinner.  Afterwards, settle in to your new room, meet with your host and guide and make plans for the fishing adventures that will follow for the next 3 days.

We are convinced that this is the absolute best trout fishing program found anywhere in South America.

After having our hearts broken with the loss of our old friend, Casa Mar Lodge, we searched for several years and now we believe we have found a great new companion: “Casa de Barra”.

"CdB" is the perfect choice for anglers wanting to experience a very unique style of tarpon fishing in one of the most ecologically interesting spots in Central America.

With full complement of boats, Casa de Barra is ready to fish both outside the mouth and up in the river. A series of big boats are fully equipped for safety and outfitted for offshore tarpon fishing. The newly fabricated little boats are ideal for fly fishermen who enjoy pursuing the jungle fish in the remote, isolated lagoons and creeks of the river system. Stable boats with wide casting decks make for perfect presentations. Lefty has amassed all the necessary equipment and has the flies ready for sale, so you are welcome to “travel light” and be assured you will have everything you need.

But best of all, our long-time trusted associate, Lefty Perez, is back and is running the fishing program! He is looking forward to seeing his old friends return and is anxious to play host, seeing that your desires and fishing requests are once again exceeded.
